About Us

Our church began in 1844 out of a burning concern for missions. We have always believed in the necessity of sharing Christ with the world and that is our heartbeat still.

Mount Hermon Baptist Church partners locally with the Pittsylvania Baptist Association, on the State level with the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and nationally with the Southern Baptist Convention.

We are conservative in our theology, cooperative in our spirit, and most of all interested in advancing our Redeemer’s Kingdom. To make Christ known everywhere.
