The Senior Adult Ministry at Mount Hermon is very active.  There are several ways that one can get involved in service, fellowship, and worship.

Keenagers Luncheon

Once a month our seniors have a potluck lunch.  It is a time of fellowship and good food.  All of our seniors bring some kind of dish (cooked vegetables, casseroles, desserts, main dishes, etc.). One gets to experience some good old fashioned country cooking, even better than Cracker Barrel.  There is also some kind of entertainment and a devotional for the day.  The date is usually the forth Thursday of the month, although some exceptions include holidays and a breakfast twice a year.

Senior Adult Trip

Once a year, the seniors take an extended trip outside of Danville .  Last year, we attended the Jubilee conference in Gatlinburg , TN.   It is always a time when we get to hear great gospel music and preaching.

New Generation Choir

Several of our Senior adults serve in various ministries in our church.  Whether it is serving through the Woman’s Missionary Union, the Prayer Ministry, teaching Sunday School, making cancer pads, visiting hospitals, or other ministries; the Senior Adults at Mount Hermon can always find things to do here.
